PIR300 25/50 is a rigid closed cell polyisocyanurate insulation with the industry leading thermal conductivity and E84 25/50 passive fire resistance rating for PIR materials. Those factors combined with extremely low ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and GWP (Global Warming Potential), make PIR300 25/50 an exceptional “Green” insulation to use for Pharmaceutical Processing, Military Bases, Food Beverage & Brewery, Schools, Hospitals, Low Pressure Steam, and Industrial Chilled & Hot Water Applications.
PIR300 25/50 is made in the USA and has a continuous service temperature between -297°F and 300°F with intermittent fluctuations up to 365°F. This PIR complies with ASTM C591, Grade 2, Type IV.
PIR300 is a rigid closed cellular 2# nominal density polyisocyanurate that is manufactured in buns for fabrication into a variety of shapes and sizes that include, but are not limited to: piping, fittings, valves, curved-side-segments and many others.
The industry leading k-factor of 0.168 BTU-in/hr-ft2-°F, aged 180 days @ 75°F, and other excellent characteristics make PIR300 the optimal insulation for applications that require a flame spread/smoke development of 25/50 or less. These include, but are not limited to:
- Commercial Chilled Water
- Institutional Applications
- Use in Air Plenums
- Refrigeration/Cryogenic Systems
- Central Chiller Plants
- Low Pressure Steam
