The Benefits of Insulation

Insulation is never discussed when talking about a refinery, or a Liquified Natural Gas Plant, or a pharmaceutical facility or even as a part of a chilled water system for an airport, hotel, or casino.  However, the benefits of insulation cannot be ignored.  Some of those benefits are:

• Reduction in energy costs
• Reduces greenhouse gas emissions
• Improves process equipment performance
• Reduces Corrosion Under Insulation by preventing moisture condensation
• LEEDs credits

Every one of those items above would be tops on any conversation regarding a new construction project but when combined together, insulation should become the superstar.  To maximize your return on investment on your next major project or turn around, do not forget to properly insulate your mechanical systems.
