With a best in class aged thermal conductivity of 0.168 (R-Value of 6.1 per inch), PIR300 25/50 gives you the most efficient system possible, which will lower operational costs and extend the life of the system. Without proper insulation, energy losses up to 90% can be experienced throughout the system. According to the Department of Energy “Any surface over 120° F should be insulated. This includes boiler surfaces, steam and condensate return piping and fittings.”

While only weighing 2 lbs. per cubic foot, PIR300 25/50 has a compressive strength of 30 psi. The rigidity and strength will protect the insulation from damage when used in areas of operation exposed to traffic and normal employee activities.

Additionally, PIR300 25/50 having a Class A E84 fire rating will allow it to be used in workplaces and plenums requiring tighter flame and smoke requirements that other PIR products cannot match.
